Tokyo Day 5 / Shopping Day 2

21.11.2014

Warning: Pictures overload…
I have like over 200 photos in this post. (I procrastinated blogging this post because of the number of photos)

On today's itinerary is Shinjuku and Shibuya again because Shinjuku, Shibuya and Harajuku are linked and it's a very very huge area to cover.

We can only survive in short sleeves indoors.

Arrived at Shinjuku and went to shop around the departmental stores. However, it was still early and we were getting hungry so we decided to grab brunch first.

Found a random Japanese place in the mall and I can't really remember the name of the restaurant. Haha oops.

Natural sunlight coming in from the windows :))

After walking around the departmental stores in Shinjuku, we decided to go to Yoyogi Park which was on our way when walking from Shinjuku to Shibuya. It was on our itinerary for Day 4 but it was quite out of the way so we didn't go there yesterday. Since it was located in between Shinjuku and Shibuya, we decided to walk to Shibuya so we can pass by the park :)

Sibei round face cus I grew a lot fatter in just 5 days from all the good food.

There was another trail but it was already closed so we couldn't enter :(

JP was trying very hard to capture the beauty of the autumn leaves amongst the greenery.

I can be artistic too right?

The sun was already setting by the time we finished the park.

Back to Shibuya

Super awesome Nike store that is 3 levels high, and has a customization area for people to custom their shoes! Too bad we couldn't do it (see what I did there?).

Comme des Garcons

I was in charge of snapping anything that looks nice and I kept taking pictures of the shops because they were all so huge and the architecture of the buildings were all so beautiful.

Pardon the blurriness, I was just walking and snapping using the snapshot function and I didn't stop to check the photos. We were looking for the other Bape branch and it took us quite awhile to find it. JP was busy navigating and walking damn fast so...

Police station.

A really pretty looking cafe that I couldn't take a proper picture of.

A local university.

And..we found Bape!!!

This branch had the best interior and I was so mesmerized by everything from the displays to the lights.

Shoes that I wanted so badly but they ran out of my size :(

Love this branch the most because they had more stuff in our sizes despite us coming in so late and they were the biggest and prettiest store. Hehe.

Super cute toy dog used to attract customers.

Soon, we found ourselves in Harajuku.

After shopping for hours, we found a ramen place for dinner. They approached us while we were still shopping and we told them we will come back later when the shops start closing. When we really did find our way back, they were so happy when they recognized us and we were both very touched, because you hardly see such sincere happiness from a staff just because you kept to your promise and went back to them.

Again, we had to order from the vending machine but this time round, the staff gave us the English menu and explained to us what was what on the machine. She helped us select what we wanted and it really helped us a lot because there were no food displays this time round. Lol.

Super huge portion and as usual, JP helped finished mine.

We were really impressed with the food and the service here so in order to prevent myself from forgetting the name of the restaurant, I took a picture of it...

And with it!

Went back to the hotel and guess what we found?

Haha the hotel staff were very cute and fun-loving. There was a night where we came back and found Mickey tucked under the covers. Lol.

Supper stash from Family Mart

Loots of the day:

Went into H&M to grab a thick pullover because
1. I ran out of clothes to wear
2. It was still freezing outside and I couldn't stand it anymore

To be honest even though it got better today, we were still a little disappointed in the shopping because due to the season, a lot of the shops were selling winter clothes or like really thick pullovers that were not practical for Singapore. Due to the season, we really missed out a lot on shopping and so we told ourselves that we need to visit Japan / Tokyo again in the spring/summer season. Hahaha.
