Universal Studios Singapore

Yes, because I'm now living it up during the holidays, I have quite a handful of free time to spare and hence the backtracking update of this USS trip, which happened 2 months back.

Battlestar Galatica wasn't opened that day & I was pretty bummed because I haven't tried the CYLON ride yet. Can you believe it?! But oh well, I better get to ride it during the next visit to USS.

Henceforth, PHOTO VOMIT.

It was my first time on the Transformers & I got pretty geeky, spamming photos and videos of the interior of the queueing area.

Imagine when I saw Bumblebee outside! ;)

Saw this dinosaur that was moving in the cage and it was quite a sight. A+ for effort! :)

Mandatory castle shot.

I was quite embarrassed to bring my stuffed Elmo to take picture with the life-sized Elmo. I got even more embarrassed when life-sized Elmo pats my stuffed toy Elmo and the photographer laughed.

And then the emo-with-elmo camwhoring starts...

Eventful, exhausting, and a roller coaster of emotions, it was quite a day to remember.

Idol Dramas

It'd been awhile since I last got completely engrossed in a Taiwanese Idol Drama. Really missed the times when I would get completely engrossed in a series, and my life would just revolve around watching it, and feeing like I'm part of it.

Here are my top 5 taiwan dramas that made me cry like a bitch and wake up with puffy eyes:

1. Meteor Garden 流星花园

It's a classic, nuff' said.
And I think the boys in the Taiwan version are still more drool-worthy than those in the Japanese and Korean versions.
I'm a "Jerry Yan" fan since 7 years old.
If you have never watched this, you're seriously missing out.

2. In Time With You 我可能不會愛你

This drama made me cry the hardest.
In Time With You is by far the most realistic drama I have ever watched.

The storyline is about a guy and a girl who started out being competitive rivals, and then best friends, and then how they eventually realize that they are in love with each other. In between, they dated other people as well.

This show made me feel very involved simply because it was simple and real. No loss of memory, no unrealistic story plots, no nothing. The best part, it will make every girl want a guy best friend after watching it. That feeling will linger long after the show ends.

This drama won quite a number of awards with its storyline and main characters' acting, so it is definitely worth watching.

3. Autumn's Concerto 下一站, 幸福

Autumn's Concerto made me a fangirl of Vaness Wu.

I think all the actors acted really well and it was a really beautiful love story.
Xiao Xiao Bin is damn cute in the show and whenever he cries, I cry too. Lol.

But this one is the unrealistic kind where rich guy falls for poor girl, family disapprove of the relationship, mother tries to break them apart and pair the guy with another rich girl, guy loses his memory halfway through, and then meets the poor girl again.

Except this time, a child is involved and it tugs at your heart strings every episode.

4. Hi My Sweetheart 海派甜心

I'm sure most people already know about this drama. Unrealistic, but really really cute at the same time.
I'm a little biased towards this show also because Luo Zhi Xiang and Rainie Yang are the main characters.

This show makes you feel happy at the start with Da Lung (Show Luo's character), but becomes more emotional as the story develops.

5. A Chinese Paladin 仙剑奇侠传

I don't know which season/version is this exactly but I only like this one.
It's quite rare how such 古代 shows can make me cry so yeah, that alone says a lot.
Fantasy + Fighting + Love = Must Watch!

So there you go, my favorite idol dramas of all time.
I should probably re-watch them again if time allows.

Who wanna watch with me? keechiu!

Till then.

Lost

I still remember not too long ago, I was feeling this way. Lost. Not knowing where to go, not having any clear directions, not knowing what to fight for, not having a place where I belong.

I remember R told me this "I used to feel this way. But you have to accept the fact that people like us are not born to fit in. Find your goal, fight for it."

I felt better, like a lot better. But then again there are always times where I needed some haven to hide in, I needed people who could understand me even without me saying anything, I needed people who are closer than family. And then I look around and I feel...alone.

L.O.V.E

"It's as strong a word as hate, but people throw it around like it's nothing."

Love can represent so many things, be present for different people, even things. A universal language.
If I love someone of the opposite gender, must we get together? Must we be together to call it love? I don't know. I really don't.

But sometimes it gets so frustrating when you get attached and people start gluing both your presence together. It's as if a person cannot exist as an individual once he/she is in a relationship.

I feel it even before the relationship stage. And it disturbs me, scares me, and turns me off.

Isn't it irritating when you walk into a room, everyone turns to you, but instead of saying "Hi" they go "Where's XXX?"
Or when you are in the middle of bantering and the other party just goes "Not happy ah, go find your boyfriend/girlfriend la"
Or before you even say anything "Aiya he/she got boy/girl friend already, still got time hang out with us meh?"
AND THE WORSE "The boy/girl friend don't want go, he/she sure won't go one la"

It makes me feel that once I'm in a relationship, people no longer see me as an individual and respect the fact that I have my own opinions, my own existence, my own life.

And it really sucks when people do that. It doesn't piss me off, no. But it does makes me feel sad for some reason. I don't know why I get so affected by this, because some other people enjoys the fact that people see the couple together as one person. But not me. I don't know why. I would just rather people call me by my name and not XX's girlfriend, or seek my opinions and not assuming my decision will be the same as my other half.

In fact I would just rather people see me as an individual even if I'm attached. Period.

The most important thing in my life right now, and the only thing that is constantly pushing me to breakthrough myself; dance.

I may be young in this scene, raw and new. I have a lot more to learn, a lot more to discover, a lot more to experience. But I will never be afraid because this is what I want to do.

All I hope for, is that the people I know, who know me, from outside the dance scene, respect that fact.

I hold this passion close to my heart, which might be the reason why I am extremely sensitive to any unwanted remarks/jokes that are uncalled for. I really just want to be able to love what I do, be proud of what I do, and be happy while doing it.

I don't even know the reason behind this post. I guess I just needed an outlet to rant, to vent, to express my thoughts.

And then I had no one to go to.
