Minor Change

Had some minor makeovers in October..

13.10.2014

My parents finally wanted to repaint the whole house (after we have been talking about it for years) and we had to pack everything into boxes for the paint job.

They hired professionals and I think it's about 1k for the entire house, for 7 different colors.

Goodbye "old" room. I liked you while you lasted.

Shit, I didn't realize it looked this old.

They were going to paint all 3 rooms for the 1st day so we all had to camp in the living room...

Looks like some hoarder's house. I'd bet if anyone walked past our house that time, he/she will totally be judging us.

My room.

Sissy's room.

Parents' room.

Goodbye "old" house.

Went to do facial with Mumsy and had Coco House for dinner.

She looks pretty even when I take an unglam shot.

Favourite woman.

15.10.2014

Paint job was done, but Sissy and I still had trouble unpacking because our rooms look good half empty.

Went to Benz Hair Studio for a hair makeover together with Sissy and Mumsy.

I was looking through pictures and finally found a hair color that I liked. It was some sort of brown with a red-purple sheen to it. Showed Uncle Ben this and the end result..

I was a little stunned because it seemed too bright and a little too red. However, in about 2-3 weeks, the color faded to a shade that is similar to the picture I found. But….I miss this color now. Lol.
人是犯贱的.

Anyway, I really have to give him credit for being able to mix and achieve the color I wanted. If you are interested, Benz Hair Studio is located at The Arcade, Raffles Place, right opposite M(^a^)ki San.

Met JP after that and he brought me to Salon Vim to get my hair cut by John because they are friends and he wanted me to "try".

I've actually tried Salon Vim 3 years ago (but my hairstylist wasn't John) and I didn't really like it. It seemed a little too overpriced and a little too commercialized so I didn't really think they had the skills to fit the price. I was a little hesitant to try but since JP suggested it, I decided to give it a try and well, it did change my mind.

I had a much better experience though, and I'm pretty satisfied with the cut. The poor guy who had to wash my hair probably got taken aback because my hair color is still fresh and will come off a little when washed. I heard him telling another guy he was stunned but Idk if it was because of my hair. Lol. Sorry dude.

Much much shorter. Chopped off 2 inches.

Went to have 一根面 at Plaza Sing again. I am still figuring out how to make a wicked 番茄炒蛋 dish. Sigh.

Came home to my 1st birthday present from Aunt. Wooooo.

I have a "key" necklace to put on for my celebration now! ^^
Love the gold bracelet as well but I'd probably be too cautious wearing it. I was a little freaked out by the doll when I opened the box though (I am slightly afraid of dolls) but I shall keep it because it's a gift with good intentions since my aunt doesn't know, plus it is dressed in my zodiac. It looks quite cute after some time though. But please…anymore dolls and I really will throw them away, don't even try to give me one.

So pretty. Thank you Aunt!  ❤

Curious about my "new" room yet?

*Tadah*

Hahaha was too lazy to use camera so I used my phone instead. Didn't take the whole room because it is very empty so I wanted to take one after I unpacked my stuff.

"New" Living room...

While packing and unpacking, I found some study notes I did in poly.

Whuuut?! I still use this method now but compared to these….I forgot how much we had to study (aka memorize) back in those days.

43/50. I even forgot about this please.

41/50. I really think I'm just really lucky in finance. Tbh I really don't understand the theories and all, I have no idea how I scored well, both in poly and uni. Wth.

88/100?!?!?! Ok can.
Apparently I was so surprised at my results I had to take pictures as momento. Please pardon me, let me show off once in a while la k.

Memories. I wanted to throw it away because the screen already cracked until like that but I was stopped by everyone. Lol. My family was like "keep la, memory mah" and JP was like "You have a Game Boy COLOR Pokemon Edition?! Keep la, might be worth some money next time. Aiyo why you go put sticker, bring down its value". I glared at him and told him "I am a girl, and I was 8".

On a sidenote, I really miss my Pokemon days.

HHN4

11.10.2014

My first Halloween Horror Night experience.

It was certainly crowded, and very hot, but I enjoyed myself very much despite arguing with JP the whole time on and off because I got so angst due to the crowd.

I'm the kind of person who really needs my personal space and if that space is compromised, I'd get anxious really easily, so anything can just spark off my temper. Therefore, I don't think I will ever get the permission to enter McKamey Manor (Note: World's scariest haunted house) even if I want to because I'd probably lack the self-control and punch the scarers in their faces.

All sweaty due to the stuffiness of the entire place.

Photos with scarer = fail. What a pity because this happened to be the scariest one I've seen.

Couldn't see shit so we finally decided to use flash, and me being nice, went to warn them about the flash before taking a photo with them. Lol.

Did I master the "scared" face?

Cowboys hissing and growling beside my face while we were taking the photos. Professional level upz.

I suspect he is a ninja off this temporary job. Or parkour enthusiast. He can disappear within seconds.

We were smiling at each other before this picture. Decided not to post the candid shot because I look super unglam.

She's damn pretty please.

And a mandatory selfie.

One of the ninjas.

Overall I would say it was pretty fun. The haunted houses would actually be pretty scary if we were to enter in smaller groups, like maybe groups of 4, or really really scary if we were to enter alone. Unfortunately, due to the crowd, having to enter in big groups is inevitable. We had to enter in probably groups of 10, and worse, the next group will always catch up with the previous group, which ended up with a whole long line of people entering the haunted houses as if we were in a museum. Took the "scare" factor out of the whole experience but on the bright side, since I was less scared, I took the opportunity to scare the scarers (no, not in a big way, just creeping up behind them and suddenly go "ah") and I got a kick out of seeing them jump. Lol. I am mean.

If the tickets get cheaper, this may eventually be a yearly halloween tradition for me.

After the houses we went to take a few rides that were still open and caught the Monster Show. Damn ughhhhh. I really cannot stand seeing stuff like that, made me all squeamish.

Walked to Harbourfront Centre after the whole event ended and waited for sissy as she just finished her Illumination Party. Had Macs for supper and a very frustrating time waiting for cabs as some assholes cut not only us, but the other few who were waiting behind us. YPs nowadays, seriously? It's one thing to act like a punk, and another to act like a jerk. Got so frustrated I eventually went to stand right in front of the last one who attempted to cut in front of us. Of course it didn't end up that well but I'm happy I did that, because he got angry and left his girl behind while he got on the cab as she was persuading him to stop quarreling with us. I hope I opened her eyes.

Oh well. Pretty eventful day I would say.

IKEA Date

6.10.2014

Wasted almost half the day nua-ing and we didn't want to waste the public holiday (on a weekday some more so it's a long weekend for JP) so we made the impromptu decision to go to Ikea to see if there's anything we can get for my upcoming party.

It's really a pity that he doesn't take beef, b/c we can't order the bigger portion and I can only have 5 :( On a side note, the mashed potato with broccoli bits took our attention away from the salmon itself. Lol.

Spent a lot of time fooling around instead of doing the actual shopping. One thing I like to do at Ikea is to visit the showrooms and see what concept I can incorporate into my future home. Teehee.

And the other thing I like to do in Ikea?

My new cap from the short shopping trip the other day, and breaking in mah new shoes!

And then I started being a little too high. Literally and figuratively.

After the self-proclaimed photoshoot, we checked out our items and made a horrible decision.
Go to Ehub and watch Annabelle.

I needed more than 1 person to accompany me for that and called my sis along.
We arrived a little too late for the 9pm showtime and had to wait for the one around 11plus so we became, ahem, "explorers".

My Über cute Gachapon!!!! It's meant to be a phone jack but I'm displaying it on my shelf. Teehee. Thank you JP for always buying one for me whenever we come across a One Piece gachapon.

Opening a gachapon is a really serious thing. There's only one character that I wished I won't get so it's actually not that nerve-wrecking, but imagine if you only wanted 1 character out of like 5…damn I'd be praying hard while opening it. Lol.

And that, we were tired so we took a rest at the massage area where the massage chairs were, and JP slot $2 into my machine so I got a free massage while waiting for the movie!! Hahaha, yes I know he's so extremely sweet, and he's mine :)

Annabelle, however, was a terror. It was scary when watching it, but after it ends, I became more pissed than afraid. Because I know the story is not the real one, I was so pissed I just watch a horror story that unfolded because of one stupid teenager who ran away from home and joined a cult. Like, if she didn't, none of it would have happened in the first place. Damn dumb.

I am still afraid of dolls tho. So if you ever give me a doll (esp a creepy one), I will put it next to you when you sleep, and use its hands to stab you. So, don't do it. Hahahaha.

I had a lot of fun though.

M1 Dance Mania!

Just a brief update because I wanna post the next one as a post on its own.

4.10.2014

I've been looking forward to this competition ever since before production. Registered like almost 2 months early I think. JP knew I was a major fan of Rushball and the moment he knew Maika san was coming to SG, he told me immediately. Decided to join the competition for fun since it's a 2v2 and it's an opportunity for me to battle alongside JP before he retires from the scene.

Although we lost our battle, it was a good experience because I actually went up there and tried something different, although not consciously. Watched my video footage and learned a lot from it. I'm much more aware of my flaws and weaknesses. Thought I totally sucked up there though, because I wasn't even dancing to the music. Musicality ah girl.

So happy just to have her watch me dance. Lol. Fangirl level 999.

5.10.2014

Maika's Workshop!!!

So happy just to be able to take her class. Teehee. Learnt so much from Maika san and I have so much more to explore. This was probably the reason for my fire during the SV internal battle. Was really inspired and motivated simply by watching her dance.

Super thankful for this opportunity. I was introduced to Rushball when I first started learning HH and was a fan since then. Whenever I lost the feel to dance, I would watch their videos for inspiration and it works every time. Can't believe I really met and learn from Maika san in person! *squeals*

I wish Kyoka san will come SG soon too! In the meantime, looking forward to Tokyo. Hopefully I'll be able to attend BBB's class in Tokyo.
